3.26.12 Dog Treats

She not big enough to jump up on the couch, but we dropped a couple Brownie crumbs on the couch and she is trying her hardest to get her tongue on the crumb!  lol

3.26.12 The Garden Survived the Storm

I don't know how much rain we got, but it rained for almost 24 hours.  There was an ice cream bucket on the porch and it's half full of water, so I'm thinking it rained quite a bit, I think.

The rain the last 24 hours has made us rather lazy, but we did get outside to check out the damage from the rain, but there wasn't any.  I'm so glad, we went yesterday and bought these flowers, almost $20 worth of flowers, I would have hated to lose out on them.  But good news we didn't lose them!

3.25.12 A beautiful Rainbow

We woke to crazy skies this morning. It was raining on one side of the house but the sun was rising awesomely on the other side of the house.  And then within a few minutes of day light, this huge, I mean huge, rainbow appeared.  When I got done taking pictures, we realized that it was a double rainbow.  The second rainbow was hard to see, but it was there.  After the rainbow disappeared the skies opened up and down poured pretty much for the rest of the day!

3.24.12 The Garden

One week later and they are above ground!  I just shovel tilled the garden last week and planted some seeds.  I was so excited when I saw them all sprouting.  I can't wait for everything to bloom and the butterflies and hummingbirds to start coming around.  I'm sick of the bees, but that just comes with summer I would reckon.

3.22.12 - Music Night

It's Thursday night again, we hit Westridge Grill for the tunes.  It was so nice and warm.  We got frozen yogurt again, this time it was $12.  .45 cents an ounce!  Brian got a huge cup.  Next time I'll have to get a picture of that!  lol

It was a great night.  Ran into some old friends we haven't seen since before Halloween.

3.21.12 - Another Stormy Morning

Really, Seriously, I'm tired of the storms, the rain, the fog.  I want 80 degrees and heat!  I promise I won't complain.  But the skies look pretty on stormy mornings.

3.20.12 - She took 2nd place

Our sweet babygirl, took second place in the Science Fair for her grade.  I'm so so proud of her.  She worked hard on her board and display.  She lost patience a few times, but she did really well.  I can't wait to see her so we can hear all about.

We didn't get to go that night to see it.  Brian didn't get home until after 6 and then it was storming.  So we missed it.  I'm so bummed.

3.19.12 New Phones

Brian is in love with his new phone.  It's the first SmartPhone he's had.  He's even said this was the best phone he's ever had.  lol

He sure plays with it enough.  He's even said no one needs a computer if you have one of these.  Well not me, I still want my laptop!  lol  Crazy man!

3.18.12 Rainbow Cupcakes

Rainbow cupcakes!  What else would you do on St. Patrick's Day Weekend!  Of course, make Rainbow Cupcakes.  The girls loved making them.  And the cupcakes came out really well.  They got rainbow cake with rainbow frosting.  Perfect end to our St. Patrick's Day Celebration!

3.17.12 St. Patrick's Day

This was truly the best St. Patrick Day I've ever had.  Lil B and I waited until AM went to bed and then we started decorating the house.  We did a trail of clovers down the hallway, the cutest rainbow on the bedroom door and then tons of leprechaun feet all over the house.  On the toilet, frig, door, windows, you name it.

It was a huge success!  AM bought the Leprechaun hook, line and sinker!

She woke up seeing clovers all over the floor leading from her bedroom to the living room.  She saw the feet print all over most windows.  She had to go to the bathroom and when she did, she squealed 'laurieann, they went in the bathroom also'.  She was so excited.

lil B put a smiley face on the mirror and it was the right height to be right at AM's face level.  AM told me that the leprechaun kissed the mirror!  lol

We hung "Wanted" posters on the living room wall and AM was reading them and realized that the posters referred to them leaving last weekend.    She turned around and said 'they have been watching us, they saw us leave last week!"  Hugely, priceless!!!!

Late that afternoon she came in our room and was heading into the bathroom.  I asked her what she was doing?  She said, I know that leprechaun has to be around here somewhere.

I so want to know her mind.  Santa comes in the middle of the night and she doesn't see him.  And she doesn't spend all day long looking for Santa, why is she looking for the Leprechaun?  lol

I won't forget this day anytime soon.

P.S.  I saw the girls' mom and she told me that AM was telling all her friends and everyone about the Leprechaun visiting!  So, I'm thinking this is a day even AM won't forget anytime soon.  Totally priceless, totally.

3.16.12 Getting Ready for the Leprechaun's Visit

AM and I and Anela were enjoying coloring some clovers for St. Patrick's Day.  I don't think Anela was really coloring to much, but she wanted to take part in some way.  So her contribution the night was teeth holes in the paper!  AM was making us some really colorful clovers, I'm not even sure she colored one in green, but I do remember a rainbow colored one.  lol

3.15.12 First Night of Sidewalk Music

It was the first night that we had gone back out to the sidewalk music in town.  The music was really good, but those clouds were not looking very good at all!  We sat there for a while watching the clouds, we were debating at what point would we head home since we were on the bike.  Didn't take us but until the 3rd strike of lightening to decide we didn't want to get wet and the music will be here next week as well.

3.14.12 The Start of the Yard Accents

Ok, I know it's suppose to be A Picture A Day, but how could I pass up these pictures of the new lights we scored in Target for $1 each!  Man, did we score.  I love them and so does Brian.  We are just starting to add onto the yard and get it dressed up.  We love the pattern it puts on the ground and the look.  We started with 10 lights and are heading back to get 20 more tomorrow!  it looks so awesome.  Just saying.

3.13.12 Why I Love North Carolina

This is why I love North Carolina.  The beautiful Blue Skies with pretty Orange to accent!  Love it, totally love the North Carolina Blue Skies!

3.12.12 Cardinal Claiming His Food

This cardinal is not about to share his food with the robin.  Just not having it!  lol

3.11.12 A Wonderfully Warm Day

It was one of the warmest days yet this year.  Yesterday was really warm also and we went for a walk in the woods, stumbled on some really cool bamboo growing wild.  Today lb and I were suffering horribly from allergies.  I didn't even wake up until almost 11:30, that never happens.  Then I laid around all afternoon in the sun and watched the birds around the science project.

3.10.12 Fun in the Woods

We ran across a batch of Bamboo growing wild in the woods.  So much fun.  Lb found one she wanted to drag home and of course we let her.  I found a large piece that was not living anymore, so I broke it off and took it home also.  I'm going to make a Bamboo Wind Chime with the girls.

3.9.12 Broken Tooth, Hole in Forehead

AM and I were singing to each other to Taylor Swifts song.  No, we were head banging, but AM didn't realize that she shouldn't use her teeth!  I have a nice hole in my head and she has blood falling out of her mouth!  She cried I laughed, then she got an icey pop and her tears were gone!

3.8.12 A pretty Cardinal

The birds are coming out, hugely!  The Cardinals I believe are my favorite only because I can't seem to catch the Blue Jays in action.  I think I might have to put some other bird feeders out away from all the fast paced birds.  But the cardinals and robins are really loving this feeder and the other ones.

3.7.12 Proud PuppyParent

Her first day of us returning to work and she did so good!  no poo or pee in the bathroom.  So proud of her.  We spent a couple hours outside with her and she loved it.  Later in the evening she wanted to go for a walk so we walked her.  It was fun that she was the finally initiating the walk, she hasn't ventured that way yet.  She's growing up and it's helping me think she is doing ok.

3.6.12 She Learns the Stairs

'Anela learned to get up the stairs.  She has only be home for 5 days.  She could get up the first stair and then couldn't get the others even though they are all the same distance.  We finally got her excited enough to get up the last 3 steps.

3.5.12 Monday, Monday

Mondays are just Mondays, no one likes Monday, but some Mondays I actually look forward to.  I thought Spring was here, we were having some really warm days and rain with warm temps.  And this Monday I wake up to temps in the 30's, no wait 27 I believe old Elizabeth said.  Now that's really cold on a motorcycle, so not fun.  Here I had already wore my light windbreaker and sweatshirt, now I'm back to several shirts and the big huge hunting coat, bummer, bummer!

3.4.12 So Cute!

The sweet baby..........bet you are trying to figure out which one is the sweet baby.  lol

Well the little baby finally worked the sweet baby's last nerve this morning.  Little one isn't sure that night time is for sleeping not peeing and playing.  lol  So I took over on puppy duty and gave the big man a break for a nap.  When little girl was finally ready for a nap I put her in bed with her Daddy!  and he pulled her in really tight like a Teddy Bear!

3.3.12 Science Project

Working on the Science Project again.  Of course the weather isn't working with us on this.  It decided to drizzle right after she got the food in the feeder.  But we still filled them.

There are a ton of Cardinals out, I guess they like this drabby weather.  I don't!

3.2.12 A Surprise for the Girls

Second day and she is taking over the helmet, doesn't bother me because she will be going for a ride, many of them.

We have kept the puppy a secret from the girls.  Brian wanted to surprise them.  LB knew that I was looking for a puppy for a while for her daddy.  But she didn't know that we found one.

Of course the girls love her.

3.1.12 Puppy Comes Home

This is Iki Pilikia 'Anela Dzinpa, Hawaiian for small, brown angel and then a mix our two last names Dzinbal and Pavao.  We are calling her 'Anela, it's pronounced like a-nail-a, a's are as in apple.

Her first day home and her daddy lets her chew on things she shouldn't be chewing on.  We did buy toys before we brought her home.  She is cute as a button, so she is easy to spoil.  But the shoes are a huge no-no.  I'm thinking this little girl will have her daddy wrapped before the week is over!

2.29.12 Puppy Scam

Scams are everywhere now a days.  I can't believe it.   We got a little scammed on the puppy application I did last night.  Turns out I wasn't applying for a puppy from the Animal Shelter.  They just tag the local Animal Shelter, personally I believe they even implied the puppy was coming from the Animal Shelter.  Turns out it was from the Friends of Rocky Mount, friends of the local animal shelter.  They take pictures of the animals that they have in there, then they try to find them homes.  Well turns out the puppies are homed all along the East Coast and they want $300 for the puppy!  I think they should changed their name to Friends of Drug Brain Dead people.  They are beyond crazy if they think that I'm putting $300 out on a puppy.  If I'm paying for a puppy that is a mixed breed I'm getting it at the pound and giving my money to something I know I can trust.

These people are crazy, 4 page application, references, home visits.  Really?  We're adopting a puppy not a child.  lol

The afternoon turned out to be very nice so I took Brian for a ride and we headed down to the Animal Shelter, that is how we found out that we were being scammed!  It's funny now, the worker Harper, she was all over this scam, like she won the lotto!  lol  I was cracking up at her.  It was like watching Madea going off over it.  Needless to say we got to know a few officers that night and we found a better puppy than the one we found on line from Friends of Scammers.

All night long Brian kept saying "I got a puppy, I got a puppy, I love you, I love you, Thank You Thank you."  lol

2.28.12 A Puppy

It started out as a gloomy day, the weather has been so crazy.  This winter has been so mild, which I love, because I have rode my bike every day of it.  The evening ended kinda good though.  I filled out an application to get Brian a puppy!  He's so happy.

2.27.12 Nothing Spectacular

It's a typical Monday and nothing spectacular happens on Monday's.  Other than the last Monday when Brian tripped over his shadow.  But anyways, since nothing spectacular happened I decided to use the picture I took as the girls were leaving yesterday.  I like this picture it came out really nice.  Well AM could have been a little better, but at least I finally got her to sit still.  I've decided I'm going to blow this one up for the wall.

Oh I guess I should tell you these are the Grandparents from NY via Florida.

2.26.12 Grandparents Visit

The girls got to go swimming at the hotel Grandma and Grandpa were staying at.  I like this picture the best out of all the pictures we took that day.  Grandpa got in the water with the girls.  He worked with LB and was helping her swim a little bit.  By the time they got out a few hours later, LB was dog paddling around the pool.

AM was dunking her head, but not really wanting to let go of the ledge or Grandpa's hand.  I paid her a dollar to jump in from the standing position.  After a bit of confidence she was leaping into her Grandpa's arms and loving it.  Brian and I were getting ready to leave and Brian walked over and picked AM up and tossed her in the pool.  At first she was going to cry, you could tell.  The rest of us started cheering like she had done something great, well really she had.  She hadn't choked on the water, she did well.  Once she heard us cheering she couldn't cry or carry on.

The girls had a wonderful visit with their Grandparents.

2,25.12 Awaiting the Grandparents

I was going to post a picture of the girls playing the Wii as they waited for Grandpa and Grandma Dzinbal to show up from Florida but live in New York.  Now stay focused because I tend to tell it the long way!  lol  Example:  i could have just said Grandparents from New York, because that is how they are normally referred to as, but they were in Florida before they came to see us.

The excitement of grandparents arriving became a little stressful for the girls.  AM was having the hardest time.  She was so excited she kept getting in trouble.  lol  She got mad at me at one point.  She has been learning to tie her shoes.  Not the easiest task for some little one.  She has the basic idea, but she doesn't practice enough.  But I found out if you make her mad enough she can do it!  lol

So today's picture is on pride not accepting help and frustration getting the best of her!  Her pride wouldn't let me help her tie her shoe, but her frustration got the best of her because she just couldn't get it done on her own.  But I love her  tons.
